Over the years, I explored many different art mediums and found myself particularly drawn to clay. The fascination of this craft is the process of turning a lump of mud into a piece of beauty. My work is focused on wheel thrown pottery, using stoneware and porcelain clays. Some of my work includes tableware, vases, and porcelain luminaries.
Wood Meets Clay (Instagram: @wood.meets.clay) is collaborative work between myself and woodturner Louise Plourde (Instagram: @woodworks_by_louise). Together, we make garlic keepers, “treasure chests”, canisters, urns, and more. These pieces have a clay pot with a turned wood lid. When Wood Meets Clay, it’s a match made in heaven.
