Our show is designed to promote and assist independent local artists and craft makers. To be clear, items that were handmade in another country are not eligible for this event.

This show is dedicated to promoting and supporting local artists and craft makers. Applicants found to be misrepresenting their work will be permanently banned from the show.

All merchandise in the Show must be hand‐crafted and offered in finished form. Manufactured kits, supplies, and other resale merchandise are not permitted. We do however accept handmade kits.

  • MLM and other distributor-type products and services are not permitted.

Makers vs. Manufacturers

The Nova Scotia Art & Craft Show is dedicated to showcasing independent local makers who are personally involved in the creation of their work from start to finish. To clarify:

  • Makers: A maker is someone who designs and creates the products they sell, typically working independently or with minimal assistance. Every piece reflects their personal skill, craftsmanship, and artistic vision.
  • Manufacturers: A manufacturer is a business or individual who outsources the production of their designs to others or employs a team to create items on their behalf. Even if the items are handmade, this approach is not what our show focuses on.

Our event is focused on connecting the public with the individuals behind the work. To uphold this mission, we do not accept:

  • Products designed by one person but made by a team of employees, contractors, volunteers.
  • Businesses where the applicant is not directly involved in the making process and instead hires staff solely to sell products at the event.

We are proud to support independent makers or small-scale operations that embody the essence of handmade craftsmanship. If you are unsure whether your work qualifies, feel free to contact us for clarification.
